Kenmore & KitchenAid

Kenmore appliances are manufactured by several different companies depending on the model — commonly Whirlpool, LG or Frigidaire — so the fastest way to read a Kenmore code is to check the appearance of your control panel against the LG, Whirlpool or Frigidaire tables above. KitchenAid laundry and cooking appliances are built by Whirlpool and use the same F-codes shown in the Whirlpool section; KitchenAid built-in refrigeration is closer to the LG-style "Er" display codes.

Codes can vary slightly by exact model and production year, and some brands reuse the same code for more than one fault. This page is a starting point, not a diagnosis — a recurring or repeated code should be confirmed by a technician before parts are ordered.
